Morgan hails from the Pacific Northwest, where she currently lives with her family, including her partner, two children and pack of fur babies.
Growing up in roaming the woods of Washington state, Morgan has always been telling and consuming stories in all shapes and sizes. She roamed her way to California, where she graduated with highest honors from the Creative Writing department at UC San Diego. Her path forked into video games then, as she put off her final quarter of college to write her first video game. After two decades in games, her work has been nominated for or won awards from GLAAD, BAFTA, The Game Awards, the WGA, the Pegases, and more.
When not parenting or storytelling, Morgan can be found dancing in the air (and sometimes on the ground), crafting, making custom plush toys, karaoke-ing, baking, going to geeky conventions, playing TTRPGs, going on outdoor adventures, and travelling. She is fussy about coffee, whiskey, and chocolate.
Morgan is a cross-genre writer who approaches each project within the genre (or combination of genres) best suited for the story being told, with their conventions acting as vehicles for her characters’ emotional worlds to be made tangible. Expect vividly sensory prose (whether grotesque, erotic, or lyrical), wry observational humor, and prickly, capable people trying to understand themselves and one another. In all forms, her work explores the messy business of being human with wit, whimsy, wonder, and a touch of the weird.
She is represented by Aurora Fernandez of Trident Media Group.
